I predict it now – London is going to be even ‘hotter’ for business and standards of living, in about 5 to 10 years time.
The video below was made from some clips and photos I took when I was working in ‘the city’ a couple weeks ago. It was the peak of Summer – and a heatwave – just about the best time to see a big city come alive!
It’s so hard to recognised London these days, thinking about what it looked and felt like just 10 years ago.
This view of the bridge over the River Clyde in the city of Glasgow was taken about 7 PM, while I was walking to a Chinese restaurant called Jimmy Chungs, for dinner.
To get the details of the sky, I switched my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) camera to HDR mode. Oddly enough, even though at 7 pm there is still bright sunshine, the dark contrast effect is because I was pointing the camera against the sun…

“HDR methods provide higher dynamic range from the imaging process. Non-HDR cameras take pictures at one exposure level with a limited contrast range. This results in the loss of detail in bright or dark areas of a picture, depending on whether the camera had a low or high exposure setting. HDR compensates for this loss of detail by taking multiple pictures at different exposure levels and intelligently stitching them together to produce a picture that is representative in both dark and bright areas.”

Thousand Hand Guan Yin was a dance created by Chinese choreographer Zhang Jigang. This dance was performed by 63 deaf dancers of China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe. Because they could not hear the music, there were 6 directors in white cloths helping them synchronizing with the music. This dance described the legend that Bodhisattva Guan Yin has one thousand hands. Bodhisattva is a Proto-Buddha. She can not become a Buddha because she is still attached to this world. Her vow: If there is still a single drop of tear in this world, I will not become a Buddha.

Balkanwood? Like Bollywood nuh. Well – as some may have figured, the Cap is not one to be limited by original culture, race, mentality or whateverrrrrr….
I am as unapologetic in exploring new cultures, as I am of new ideas. But for those who know me personally, this apparent ‘flexibility’ and ‘adventurousness’ is well managed by a deep and strong set of values and principles. Enuff psychoanalysis. Take in these lovely videos. There is much talent in the Balkans. I’m also exploring Russian pop and rock – but that’s for another day.

Whilst some will see only sexual gyrations – the Cap sees beauty, talent and adventurousness. You see what you want to see. And for those with that burning question in the back of their minds – no, I’ve not had sexual fantasy or arousal about any of these very attractive young ladies! And I heard you think “liar!”. Some may have momentarily forgotten that I’m from another planet – and another time.
I apologise to meh paleets, the Jumbie, for any psychological trauma caused – yuh know, him having to glimpse these ‘boney yard-fowl’ types that he so hates. The problem, he may discover, is that fatties with all the ‘flesh and curves’ don’t usually make it into these types of vids! Po’ fella.

 | Read and see it all in the Daily Mail 2011-02-23 on London’s Fashion week, where it is reported that “one designer, Maria Grachvogel, was forced to take in the seams on her samples because she couldn’t find any models who were a size ten, a ghost appeared on the catwalk…. “It was as though I were looking in a mirror, at me aged 18, weighing 5st, about to be drip-fed on a ward in St Barts hospital. ” Liz Jones continued. I dare say she was right. Photo at left and right are hyperlinked from the Daily Mail and full credits given to them. Is the fashion industry instrumental in promoting these images and indirectly inducing anorexia? I think it’s a serious issue for the models in question and for all younger and impressionable females. Is there a code of ethics applicable to the fashion industry? Should psychiatrists be involved in working with the fashion industry to steer them onto the right path? Perhaps it’s just me, but I really cannot see anything fashionable, beautiful or admirable about the way these people look. Can we have at least one dissenting opinion – please. |  |

The roads are impassable. Buses and taxis were pulled off their routes.
The ‘corner shop’ wasn’t ‘open all hours’ only till 9 PM. Enough to get vital supplies (no Crix) and some liquor. (^_^)

She opted for a reduction to make her playing more ‘comfortable’, since she claimed that sporting (pun intended) them gave her back pains and hampered her play.
Of course, a career in tennis might be great for her, but what about all the disappointed tennis fans?
Not to mention all those possible lucrative endorsement deals that made a success out of Anna Kournikova. Isn’t that a ‘bigger’ pay out?
Ah well…
