Birmingham, England is called Brum. The people are Brummies. I've lived here for 5 years so am I a Trini or a Brummie?
Brum also has a large West Indian and specifically Trini presence. My friend Horace has an annual BBQ that sees over 200 guests crossing his threshold. A proper Trini fete, with music, rum and everything else; last year even the police turn up (°_°)
Lots of Trinis in London and elsewhere have never visited Brum so I am extending an invitation. I make a mean dhalpourie and duck, (ent, Russell?) so figure on a touch of home when you come. And if you come bearing gifts, I have some Royal Oak stashed away. (^_^) Allyuh know that aged 12 years, right? And it smoooooooth.
