Licks: to give or not give

The above video has made the news in Trinidad and Tobago, triggering the long running debate on corporal punishment to start afresh.

The gist of the video is this: The mom caught her 12 years old daughter posing in her underwear and posting the photos on Facebook. Mom is wrathful, and took matters into her own hands… literally as you can see.

So, back to the story… mom is ‘ready to make a jail’ for her actions as she thinks the beating has taught her daughter a valuable lesson. For me personally, the debate isn’t whether corporal punishment is right or wrong, but where does it cross the line into abuse. Did it in this instance? I think so. Although no lasting damage was done physically, and I think mentally the lesson was taught and received, do I condone the beating? No. I don’t. It went on too long, and the lesson could just as well have been received with less ‘blows’.

However, I’m not the parent, and I can’t say what I would have done in that situation. My other thought is that the mother is clearly in control of her actions, and has not been ‘out of control’ over the beating the child received.

I’ve been angry enough with Punks many a time, yes, angry enough to feel the urge to ‘put a slap’ on her, yet I’ve never done so. I’ve been able to control myself, but then again, I’ve had support from Punks’ rather large extended family in raising her, and she has a mom and dad who are very much pro-active in her life. Not all children are so lucky (and I’m going to use this video as a teaching tool today when Punks comes over!). This daughter clearly isn’t as lucky.

Amid the chorus of condemnation, Bartlett said she was yet to hear from the child’s father—a police­man.

Asked if there was any communication between the child and her father, Bartlett said: “He is blatantly telling her he does not want to have anything to do with her. She just has this attachment to her dad. I believe she started acting out after the separation. She was very close to him. After the separation, that is when the problem started.”

Once more, the situation of an absentee father (a police duncey no less!) and the mother struggling and at her wits end to cope with life and raising her daughters to become productive members of society. Who are we to judge?

Rave, rape and more

Some people will have seen Kevin Baldeosingh’s editorial: Twelve years a rave – and wondered ‘What’s that about?’.

Kevin is a very deep thinker. He’s not stupid like the majority of gum-bumping Rock Crawlers to put his foot in his mouth. What could ‘rave’ have to do with a 12 year old being the victim of what appears to be a statutory rape – should be the first question – but shallow thinkers will of course fly over the issue like it’s nobody’s business.  Or most would think that Kev or the TT Express are trying to make a headline that resembles some movie that’s about to make serious ‘waves’ – and you know, people are actually that simple. I’ve embedded the article at the end of this blog, for those who are too lazy to click a link. Background details are here.

Many will have glossed over the following words:

What struck me about this remark is that the girl believed what the man said, and so didn’t tell anyone that she had been raped. And, indeed, the mother told the reporter that, when the doctor confirmed that her daughter was pregnant, “I started to quarrel with her.”
So the mother’s immediate assumption was that her 12-year-old daughter was sexually active, not sexually abused. In that context, it was entirely reasonable for the girl to believe her rapist’s warning about her mother—if she had not gotten pregnant, after all, no one would ever have known about the assault and there would have been no danger of her mother beating her and throwing her out of their home.
The mother, a single parent, went on to say, “She is so coward and shy, that is why she didn’t say anything.” The mother, therefore, does not think her daughter’s silence was caused by lack of trust in her, but by the child’s weak character.
This incident is a microcosm of the overall abuse perpetrated by our hypocritical society on children. Adults condemn both sexually active children and the men having sex with them: but religious leaders say that it’s okay for men to have sex with these same 12- and 14-year-old girls if they’re married to them. You regularly hear people complaining about bad parenting being at the root of all our social problems, but what they really mean is that parents don’t beat their children enough.

I pay particular attention to certain words in Kevin’s article.

“…that the girl believed what the man said, and so didn’t tell anyone that she had been raped..” – some will have immediately responded, “Nothing surprising in that. What you expect.. i’s a twelve year old cheil.. she must have been terrified!”. Ayye – I know how to t’ink so too eh –calm dong! Kevin presses the more intelligent to think harder. What’s my take on it?

First off, I do not know the facts. I do not know the individuals involved – and my knowledge is limited to what is reported in the media which I do take with some caution. Next – I can only make reasonable presumptions about a statistical 12 year old from the Rock, in my mind. I have no knowledge of the index 12 year old reported on in the editorial.

My reasonable presumptions of a statistical 12 year-old female is as follows:

1. She is of average intellectual capacity relative to that age group.
2. She knows what is right and wrong – at the most basic level – including sexual matters.
3. She knows the facts of life prior to the index incident – however she may have come to them (I’m not too bothered).
4. She would know that sexual activity with a male relative of age 25, who is her sisters partner, is wrong.
5. She can feel pain and discomfort.
6. She is an average person who has a psychology about her.
7. At such a tender age she is a virgin.
8. Considering all the above she would be in considerable physical and psychological pain at first sexual intercourse – presumably by forceful penetration.

I really can’t imagine that any average reasonable person will not grant me those ‘reasonable presumptions’ at the outset. Get a grip – a ‘reasonable presumption’ is not a fact – and I need not be reminded that ‘it is not necessarily so’. A minute exception does not change the overall average of what can be expected of a statistical individual.

Now – when I deal with what is known I am put into doubt and confusion (yes disgust etc included) by the act of alleged rape upon this child.

Analysis

In my analysis I make some assumptions as follows:

1. A female of 12 years old
   1. is a virgin.
   2. is not used to sexual stimulation.
   3. is unlikely to achieve sexual stimulation from what is assumed to be a forceful unwelcomed sexual encounter with a male relative of 25.
   4. has small vaginal passage – and being virginal is not used to being stretched by penile penetration.
   5. has a vaginal introitus that is normally partially occluded by a hymen.
2. An average male of 25
   1. has a penis of around 5 inches in length when erect (hats off to you, if you’re a male and you’re laughing at this – you’re such a stud).
   2. has a penis of diameter 1 to 2.5 inches, when erect.

I remind myself that the vagina is not a hole – as is often referred to by people who wish to make a joke about such things.

Based on the above:

1. I think it improbable that a 12 year old would become sexually stimulated in the circumstances in question.
2. I do not imagine that an average 12 year old will achieve vaginal lubrication as might happen in normal foreplay (I don’t know and don’t care whether a rapist used artificial lubrication).
3. I expect that sexual penetration of an average 12 year old with a virginal vagina, by a 25 yea old male with a penis diameter of 1 – 2.5 inches, without the female achieving natural lubrication, will on balance of probabilities cause significant physical and psychological trauma.
4. Repeated sexual penetration by said statistical male is likely to cause even more or greater trauma (in the two day period over which this is said to have happened in the index case).
5. I find it difficult to believe that such a statistical 12 year old female would be able to conceal physical or psychological distress (over days or weeks or months), to a statistical average mother  or older sister - even if threatened by said male of 25. The younger, more vulnerable and shy are actually at greater risk of developing a trauma related mental disorder as a consequence of rape. [I said Google was your friend – now go away].
6. I would find it improbable that an average mother  (or older sister) of sound disposing mind, would not be able to pick up such non-verbal features of distress.
7. I think that such a child would have been in severe psychological and physical pain.

Having considered the above, I return to the index situation (having applied the characteristics of an average 12 year old to my mind, to that of the index individual):

1. I do not accept that the 12 year old girl in question remained silent just because she was threatened.
2. I would not accept that the child did not display psychological and physical signs of trauma, that an average mother or sister might notice and make enquiries about.
3. I do not accept that her reported shyness is a relevant factor in concealing the alleged crime. If anything it makes it more probable that a shy individual suffers and manifests more observable non-verbal signs of distress.
4. I do not accept that shyness is a reason for why the child allegedly said nothing until discovered to be 5 months pregnant.

Conclusion:

There is more than meets the eye in this alleged rape scenario. Based on the poor performance of investigatory and law enforcement agencies on the Rock, I do not have confidence that they will be able to look deeply enough into the matter.

Convicting the alleged assailant in this case is not full justice. It is an elementary matter to take DNA from the foetus or neonate that is produced and match it against the accused. I suspect that if there is  a positive match law enforcement agencies will punch the air and score their points. They will avoid the many other unanswered questions and a deeper investigation that would have taken place, if the likes of me was in charge. But then again – people like me aren’t expected to last long on the terra firma of your beloved Rock. I’m very comfy in my armchair here in England – thank you very much. I really don’t relish ducking from bullets and stray penises, aplenty. I’m cool right here!

‘Runaway’ from common sense and virtue

The owner and contributors to this blog do not condone or promote viewing of pornographic material. However, it is asserted dispassionately that the proper evaluation of the form, content and intent of certain videos in question can only be undertaken by looking at the video material.

Over the last two weeks or so people on the Rock and in various parts of the world have been celebrating Anya Ayoung-Chee’s success at the Project Runaway contest. I – as many will expect – have been less than impressed. In fact I am ashamed again to be associated with that Rock or to think that Anya Ayoung-Chee would represent the Rock or its values. Some will know or think they know, what I’m going to say. That ignorant mind-reading ‘some’ may move on swiftly. Nothing cures them but direct pain and suffering. Some of you will see only ‘sex’ in this post; you’re so obsessed with sex – that you can’t see into any deeper issue that may be related to ‘sex’. I hope the rest of you can get past the issue of ‘sex’ and see the more salient issues.

Well, it should be no surprise that the impetus for my analysis is Anya Ayoung-Chee’s sex tapes, but not merely the ‘making of the tapes’. Immediately a majority of you will be thinking “Well, it’s her private tapes.. so what’s the big issue?” – as if to imply that I’m making something out of nothing. And another majority of you will be thinking, “Big deal, lots of women are making private porn videos – so what!” So in essence the defence of Anya Ayoung-Chee actions seems to rest on 1. It was her private tapes. 2. Everybody does it (i.e. it’s common practice). The important issues are whether those are facts, opinion or mere rumour. Today (4th November 2011), I summarised all that’s below and asked a very level headed English woman what she thought. I’ll give you that later.

I have searched the internet several times over the last few days to tease out the following issues:

1. How does a private sex tape end up on the internet?
2. How do we know that the tapes were ‘private’?

Before I take issue with the two main lines of argument for ‘the making of the sex tapes’ I want to say that I am very disturbed about what this whole issue means for young women on the Rock and in other parts of the world.

Private sex tapes

I want to put you in a zone of discomfort. I want to say that the vast majority of you in my estimation, haven’t evaluated the content and nature of the sex tapes. To be blunt you have not seen the content and form of the tapes. I assert that most of you have been led to think the tapes are ‘private’ and not designed for public consumption.

Where did you get those ideas from? Think carefully. I’m pretty certain, that it’s what you’ve been told. Perhaps it’s something you picked up in the media. And who’s given the story to the media that the tapes were ‘private’? Ahhhhh…. now you’re thinking.

Wyatt Gallery, the male involved in the explicit sexual acts – supposedly ex-boyfriend of Anya – was reported to say: “I feel horrible and embarrassed for Anya, her family and myself, because this was a private moment that was never supposed to be made public. This was an intentional, malicious sabotage against Anya and her career, and I feel stupid for not deleting the files off of my computer."

I had originally drafted this post with a link to the sex tapes. I have omitted the link for one simple reason. Google will ‘X-rate’ this site quite probably if I put such a link. So those who wish to evaluate the tapes for non-erotic purposes, may find them by Googling the following words ‘Xvideo Anya Ayoung-Chee’ – just like that (no quotes), and see what comes up. I am not encouraging anyone to look at porn – I’m simply saying if you wish to evaluate this issue properly there is hardly a way to do it without actually finding and looking at the videos in question.

Woooo..hooooooh… suddenly many will have an attack of an ‘over-developed’ conscience and will now be thinking, “I don’t see why I have to look at what wasn’t meant for me.. and what if it was my sex tapes would I want it out there and people oogling them?” That’s a very good question. Hold on to it. But note the assumption in your thinking that the videos were ‘private’ . You don’t know factually that they were private! Then you will argue, “Even if they’re not private, I have no business looking at porn – you perv!” Hey, I’m not forcing you to look at porn – and you need to stop being so judgemental. I’ve only looked at parts of these videos for seconds, to assess the issues I have set out above. I saw nothing sexually arousing in them. Those who are likely to be aroused or fearful of being aroused, are the true pervs in all this!

But some of you managed to pic out a few of the sex tapes in question from Xvideo. And whoops - many of you will have seen the intro picture of the video with Anya Ayoung-Chee holding on to an erect penis and about to perform oral sex on it – then had a sudden attack of fear, leading to you closing down the page. Others will secretly have gone further and skimmed through parts of these tapes and quickly came to a view that those are ‘private’ matters. And this is the point, you don’t see what you don’t want to see. You therefore miss the anal sex scenes in a well lit room, with another female commenting “Hot.. hot” – as being a display.. a production! Ignorance is bliss. Perhaps you don’t want to see this, because the real issue is that you don’t want anything to cause you to believe the opposite of what you currently believe.

However, if you are a person who thinks deeply and widely about issues you may wish to consider the following:

1. The total duration of the tapes is about an hour.
2. The scenes appear to involve another female. What’s private about that?
3. In total, three people at least were involved in these videos. They took turns at filming each other.
4. There is such a sense of confidence and lack of discomfort in performing these sexual acts in front of a video camera? One might have thought that for an intimate and private love scene that there would be more ‘hesitance’  or diffidence, especially with a camera in the room? But no – we see her/them playing to the camera.
5. Isn’t there an obvious lack of emotional attachment in all of these scenes? If you think so, what does that tell you? That this is private and meant to remain private? You must be the most naive person on earth.
6. Notice that she doesn’t gag when deep-throating down to hilt, on that rather large penis? Think about it. The natural physiological response is to gag! Go on try doing it with a banana or a carrot – stick it down your throat and see what happens. Any deep-throat experts out there want to educate us more on this?
7. How does the video get from a computer out on to the internet? Does it just leap out of the computer? Hackers – that’s the one that Rock crawlers go for – without a shred of evidence that hackers had anything to do with it. Oh it was the boyfriend or whatever that done it?

Runaway sex tapes

Now I come to how these tapes ‘escaped’ the confines of their computer. It was reported in The Hollywood Grind that Wyatt Gallery – the male in question, in the videos – took the computer for repairs in Trinidad and the videos were stolen and therefore unlawfully reproduced on the internet. He reportedly said, “I feel horrible and embarrassed for Anya, her family and myself, because this was a private moment that was never supposed to be made public. This was an intentional, malicious sabotage against Anya and her career, and I feel stupid for not deleting the files off of my computer." So that’s how they got out? Well if you believe that utter nonsense, you will also believe that Prince Charles is my brother! Well, certainly Hollywood Grind doesn’t believe it and they say, “As for Gallery’s claim the video was stolen from his laptop when he took it to a Trinidad computer shop for repairs, we don’t believe it”.

Now I mean to stretch your brain to breaking point.

1. What action has Gallery and Ayoung-Chee taken to stop these now illegally acquired videos from further distribution, from day one? I’ve seen no reports about them considering or taking legal measures to stop these videos from being reproduced.
2. Surely Gallery would know the computer shop he took the computer to – and could engage Anya to sue the shop and any other organisation that reproduced those videos.
3. Are there more videos? It is a fair point to wonder about, someone who is not in the slightest shy of deep-throating on  camera, could possibly have had much practise and possibly have made many more similar videos.
4. For a person of previously proper character the damages to be settled in court could be in the millions – unless I speculate, there is more damage to be caused by suing. Think ‘breach of privacy’ and ‘defamation’. You may wish to think about Ulrika Jonsson case, where she went to court to block the release of a privately made sex tape.
5. Could the whole matter have been dropped so as not to raise a hornet’s nest? What nest? Well, apparently the tapes were made before she took part in the beauty pageant. If so, any digging into the origins of the tapes – in a court say by defence lawyers -  was bound to cause real trouble. 
6. Does ‘everybody’ make sex tapes – as we are lead to believe? I say that that is utter garbage, an attempt to trivialise the situation, and make light of very important moral issues.
7. What percentage of couples make sex tapes? I don’t know and I couldn’t find an authoritative and reliable answer on Google.
8. What about celebs and sex tapes? Well it seems that celebs are really big on sex tapes and many actually enhance their careers for producing these tapes.  See how Paris Hilton profited from her notoriety.

Having thought about it from all different angles I am unable to see that the sex tapes of Anya in the company of others were either private or not designed for eventual public distribution. I’m happy to change my mind if a set of reasons or evidence emerges that will compel me to think differently. My female English colleague, mentioned at the start of this article, blurted out, “She did it to gain popularity and enhance her profile”. I think that that sentiment is one shared by a body of opinion that is hesitant to say so on the Rock. Off the Rock, people are more open and honest about these matters, I suspect. I’m not particularly interested in her motives for doing what she did. 

There are bigger and deeper issues. Whilst these emerge from ‘sex’ or porn, they are not primarily about those issues. I assert that we must examine moral values in relation to sexual conduct. I’m concerned about the following general issues in relation to all women who would do similar. (The word ‘general’ is most important because I am unable to discuss A A-C’s personal situation. Just to be even clearer, my questions are not directed at A A-C even if some think they are.)

1. What are young women to think about all this? Should they accept that sexual exhibitionism is a good and acceptable way to gain power and wealth?
2. Should a women sell their souls by producing sex tapes?
3. What kind of respect do men have, or should have for women?
4. Do women of today collectively have a greater lack of self-respect and self-esteem?
5. Are people who make sex tapes appropriate role models for young people?
6. Is the accidental distribution of supposedly private sex tapes an new ploy to gain fame and fortune?
7. Which self-respecting parent would be happy with such a disrespect for moral values and would relish seeing their daughter in such videos, or knowing that such videos are floating around out there?
8. Which mother would be happy to bless their son to marry someone who has been in such a situation?
9. Is it acceptable for a female prime minister, doctor or judge to be involved in making sex tapes, and allowing their distribution, under a guise that they were private and not for public consumption?

(I feel a need to re-iterate, that even if the impetus for the above considerations arise from ‘sex’ and porn' there are deeper moral and societal issues for consideration).

HIV rapists – what next?

I’ve been trying to get out from behind this computer for the last 3 hours – then I get stuck again on this article in Newsday: Verna Warns of HIV Rapists. Verna St Rose Greaves is the Minister of Social Development and Gender. She is reported to have said WTTE, that the ‘..high incidence of rape, including gang rape, was horrifying.’ Oh – perhaps she’s been reading this blog of late.

But it’s not all bad news! Really. According to the figures she supplied of 215 reported rapes for 2010 – that translates to 16.5 rapes per 100,000 of population (assuming a 1.3M inhabitants). And here’s the thing, for 2009 the rate of reported rapes in England & Wales (in the UK) was 24.1 per 100,000, according to UN Statistics. Notice that at least I reference to some extent my sources.

Amazingly the 2007/8 British Crime Survey estimated that only 11% of victims of a serious sexual assault reported that assault to the police, while 40% had completely withheld that they had been assaulted. One may wish to wonder about the reliability of rape statistics on a godforsaken Rock where law enforcement is piss poor and conviction rates for serious violent and sexual crimes are pretty low.

The part solution to risk of contracting HIV by gang rape on the Rock is perhaps to walk with a supply of the strongest condoms on the market – and hope that if such small risk materialises, you may offer a condom and hope that mindless psychopaths will take a few seconds to put the damn things on before gang-penetrating you. How’s that grab you? No – you don’t like my brand of plain talk (aka frankomen)? You think I’m crude, rude and scaremongering don’t you? Hey – you don’t have to believe any of this and you don’t have to like me! You don’t have to do anything. You’re entitled to life on your fav Rock. You’re big enough.

Just who is the real ‘sicko’ here?

I should know better than to surf a ‘Rock’ newspaper on a morning. I’m assaulted by a report in Newsday  'CREEPY FREAKY WEIRDO'! In essence they reportedly caught a teacher at Bishops Anstey High School (equivalent of a College in the UK), posting pornographic material of himself on his Facebook – by accident I should add, this discovery was made (according to Newsday).

Errh..umh..ahhh.. on 12th October 2011 we read that that the  Ministry of Education were investigating three scandals at three separate schools. These involved the use of Skype to stream porn, nude images of a teacher on a laptop, and a 15yr old (?female) having sex with a teacher. It’s possible that one of those reports alluded to the ‘sicko’ story captioned above.

My question is an obvious one – why did the female students at the school keep this man on their facebook at all? Were they coerced to keep him on? Did they derive some pleasure from engaging with images of his ‘half-nude’ anatomy? Was it simply for a laugh? Was it pure innocent macoshusness (or macovaciousness if you prefer)? Where were the parents when all this viewing of ‘half-naked’ bodies were going on – for three years?

I start from the position of how I imagine a devotee might view this. First I believe completely that Sai Baba is God materialised on earth. Well that’s not grammatically correct. I should say ‘was God’ – as the man is now dead. [See: Religious Trickster Dies]. Next I would also believe that all the ‘miracles’ of materialisation and healing are true. My position would be, that unless one had faith, it would not be possible to see the truth.

Keep your eye on the alleged ‘murder’ – if you can. It’s a massive American hoax! America is afraid of anything – including God – that may impact on it’s image of being all powerful – ain’t it?

A little word here and there

The photo on the left shows one Dane Sarzano, who is attached to the San Fernando Court and Process Office. A police sergeant who appeared in court yesterday, charged with having sexual intercourse with a teenage girl without consent, … In other words a duncey who is also dunce.

Now, I don’t know when a girl of 15 could give consent, either before or after the fact. The girl is 15, below the statutory age of consent. Her consent is not required nor can it be accepted, so I find that the wording of the charge is a little bit suspicious.

It is passing strange that he is not charged with statutory rape. Also, since the girl reported the rape, he is not even charge with rape or attempted rape. ‘Sexual intercourse without consent’ seems to be a setup for him to walk free.

I have pointed this dotishness with the wording of charges and the likelihood of the defendant walking before, and have been correct. Anyone remembered my predictions when Sherman McNicolls was caught driving for 2 months without insurance??

Yep.. the Cap has been swanning arong dis here country – called the UK – watching whuh goin orn. Every year that passes, seems to bring more and more intrigue.

As Summer approaches, we have a rash of young couples ‘arm in arm’, tongue in each odda mouth etc etc – parading the streets – the shopping centres etc etc. Now – jes get dis right – dee Cap is no ‘prude’! I doh have nuttn against people showing dey affection in private or in public – so doh start! The only proviso is that it be lawful and morally acceptable. Ah mean there is no reason for swallowing tongues in front of small children – for example – so let’s have a bit o’ discretion about dis.

It’s nice to be in love or in lust or wha’everrrrr yuh wanna callit. I eh have a problem wid dem tings. However, with each passing year – I wonder to myself,  “What’s it all about?”  No – I not saying you have tuh worry about any o’ dis. You could jes let yuh loins do as it want – yuh doh have tuh t’ink about any o’ dis.

But what keeps coming to my mind is ‘Is this part of a bigger picture?’. Ah mean okay – we could do dee loin ting – produce chirren, we grow dem up, den we dead and dis cycle keeps goin on. Until when? Ah mean wha’ is the point of all dis.

Look doh start wid yuh religion t’ing please. Ah cyah take it. Ah cyah believe Gord have so much blasted time to was’e – tuh si’dong an’ watch we mating and dying over and over and over and over, again and again .. and punish we for dis dat and dee odda.

So as dis mating season begins to hot up, dee Cap has many questions on he mind – again. Ah think dat there is more to ‘love’ dan jes dat buzz we see goin’ orn out dey. Yuh know all dee chumpkayin and t’ing nuh.

Death isn’t sexy

After I read the headline in this story, something did not quite make sense. After reading the entire article, I realised that quite a few things are out of whack.

    First, what is a 15 years old schoolgirl doing in an after hours fete? With a 24 years old man?
    Why is a 15 years old school girl out on a Sunday night, with school on a Monday morning at 8:00 AM?
    Why is that schoolgirl going home at 4:30 AM?
    Did the man only go home to feed the dogs, or help himself to some schoolgirl action too?
    Why is he keeping pit bulls when they are banned by the Dangerous Dogs Act?
    When will the President take his thumb out of his arse and proclaim the 10 years old Act?
    Why did this girl’s parents and/or guardians allow her out at that time?
    If, as is most likely, the man was having sexual relations with a 15 years old, isn’t that statutory rape??
    How long was this relationship going on?
    Did her parents/guardians condone a sexual or other relationship?

This case has more questions than answers, and even in the investigation to come by Trini police dunceys, not all will be answered.

Doesn’t this bring back memories of the incident with Danah Alleyne? Did no one learn from that?

How can Elton John be the ‘daddy’ when he is the wife of his partner??? Is stupidity a prerequisite for being gay?

Maybe it’s just “Money talks, and …”

Hmm, does this mean the question of whose what goes where has been answered?

Elton John is a daddy. I’m not sure he’s not a mommy. Behind closed doors we don’t know whose what goes where, do we?

Elton has adopted a baby, fathered by someone’s sperm (whose?) someone else's egg and planted into a surrogate mother (yet another person).

Despite speculation that Mr Furnish, 48, provided the sperm for the surrogacy because he is the younger man, it is 63-year-old Sir Elton who has been recorded as the boy’s father at the local register office in Los Angeles.

David is listed as the mother in computer documents, an official told the Daily Mail.

Hmm, only speculation, no definite proof. You see how this is confusing? Is Elton ‘daddy’ because he’s the one with the money? Cause David definitely appears to be the more masculine in the appearance department.

It might be a blessing in disguise that they ‘had’ a male child. As a father myself, I know how hard a time I have to deal with the feminine aspects of Punks being a daughter. Had they a female child, who would be explaining the ‘birds and bees’ and other sundry matters? In fact, who’d be doing that to little Zachery? For all we know, he may think it’s normal for men to be putting their what into another man’s where.

What really ­disturbs me is the selfishness of a world where it’s apparently ­acceptable for women in their 60s to pay for expensive IVF or for ­superstars who, in a parody of ­consumerism, ‘buy’ children from ­African orphanages as they think the normal rules don’t apply to them.

But those rules — honed over ­thousands of years — do matter.

And Rule Number One is that, by and large, a child needs a loving mother and father.

Rule Number Two is that a child needs to know where he or she comes from and what their genetic identity is. Two stories in the Mail this week highlight these truths.

There was a survey published ­yesterday from the Prince’s Trust, which concluded that young men with no male role models in their lives, and women without a mother figure, are hugely disadvantaged in life.

Then there was the poignant story of Pat Fitzgerald who, wrapped in blankets with a dummy in her mouth, was abandoned on the steps of a Cardiff hotel when she was only five weeks old.

Now, 71 years after that act of unimaginable cruelty, Mrs ­Fitzgerald, in a desperate bid to fill the huge hole in her life, is trying to discover her true identity, even though she was brought up as an only child by devoted ­adoptive parents.

I ached when I read about the yawning chasm she still feels in her life even though she has four ­children of her own.

I make no apologies for not being politically correct in this post. Some things just can’t be sanitised.

Unadmittedly Green, or very happy at Xmas

Well, as the new year approaches many are thinking of resolutions, what presents they got, what they didn’t get etc. It’s a time of reflection and reverence many say. And.. and if you’re Hugh Hefner you’re particularly happy this season. Huh? Yep. Becuz you’re 84 and you just tweeted “When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory".

Crystal is/was his playmate – surprise.. surprise! This is the third marriage for Hefner. Oh...she's 24.

So – I’m sure Jumbie will agree – that money and the right mate are the key ingredients to happiness, and that age difference is no obstacle (for adult relationships). Hey, Crystal is originally a Brit!!

Question for those in silence out there: ‘Don’t you wish you were either Hugh Hefner or Crystal Harris?’ – awwhh come on, admit (or not) that you’re green!!
