Apology

I must apologise for an inaccuracy in one of my publications.

Today the Trinidad Express published my post "Medical Monkey Island - Reasons to crack the whip!", in the 'Letters to the Editor' section, edited of course.

The line

A recent edition of the Metro newspaper in the UK stated that the average salary (take home, after taxes) for a GP was £103K per month. Some take home £250K.

should read instead as "...£103K per annum."

The inaccuracy is mine, from my earlier submission (typing really fast to get my ideas down can screw up a few words occasionally).

Therefore, I apologise. I do not want bright young medicos from Trinidad running off to the UK in search of TT $1 million plus per month, then later blaming me for creating false expectations.

A correction has been submitted to the Express, let's hope they publish it.
