A random thought: polls and winds of change

In the secretly commissioned poll that Pa-trick had done on his MPs, the one he wants to use as a reason to rid the PNM of 'poorly functioning ministers', Pa-trick himself scored dismally.

Now, I can understand if Pa-trick himself was an outstanding MP, even Prime Minister, but according to the poll:
Generally speaking, do you have a favourable or unfavourable opinion about Prime Minister Patrick Manning?
  • Favourable 39%
  • Unfavourable 44%
  • Not Sure 17%

When you get right down to it, do you approve or disapprove of the job that Patrick Manning is doing as Prime Minister?
  • Approve 36%
  • Disapprove 52%
  • Not sure 12%

As things stand now, do you think that Patrick Manning deserves to be re-elected as Prime Minister when the next elections are held, or should someone else be elected Prime Minister?
  • Deserves to be re-elected 38%
  • Someone else 51%
  • Don't know 11%

With an approval rating of less than 40% and a definite disapproval rating of greater than 50%, it seems to me that the country has begun to notice Pa-trick isn't doing at all a good job. Hmm, my 0.01% hope?

Quite possibly, this poll might be the truest indicator of the which way the political wind is blowing, rather that those other 'polls' conducted by foreign groups... makes me wonder who in Trinidad does the sampling on their behalf and where/how etc.

But back to my random thought: will the poll be a possible indicator of change? Time will tell....
