Apologies to my readers for my absence.
I have been trying out for (and was successful in obtaining) a new job in the IT/Education sector. Hopefully my new role will be challenging and stimulating - presently I've been told I'll be creating e-learning/virtual learning content to support staff at a higher level educational establishment. I look forward to that.
That's the good news.
The bad news is that I may not have an opportunity to do a job like this in Trinidad/Tobago. Education seems to be a bit behind in terms of technology, and (don't get me wrong here) though the content as well as the intentions are there, there are lessons to be learnt from the education system in England.
I also know that in some aspects, Trinidad has an education system that surpasses the one in England... so why can't we combine a bit of both and do better? That's the view I am looking at. Hopefully Punks will benefit.
