I recently took Punks and my visiting friend to Madame Tussaud's in London. World famous for its wax figures, the museum has so many visitors that it is a pushing and shoving jungle inside.
The worst were the Indians (from India) who have (as we say in Trinidad) a 'come see, never see' attitude, rudely jostling everyone out of their way in eagerness to stand and pose next to the figures.
Of course, having Bollywood figures of Amitabh Bachan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Ash Rai did not help matters as these were prime targets of Indian idolatry.
Sad to say, my friend and Punks being small, were often pushed aside like so much dirty laundry... prompting little well-behaved Punks to burst out " I'm so mad, I feel like I could cuss them, man!" It did not help matters that taking photos were next to impossible because of said shoving.
But partially, I blame the staff at the museum for allowing too many people in at the same time. The place was far too crowded for Health and Safety purposes (wax is very fiery after all) and I cannot see that many persons being evacuated without danger in event of a fire hazard.
