Okay, this is a new one on me.
There is a French telecommunications company presently in business in the UK, called Tiscali. It provides Internet, phone and television services.
Turns out, I found out today, that Tiscali does not fall under the regulation of the Telecom Ombudsman because it opted out from falling under that banner.
Hold on there, I'm thinking something is very wrong here. You mean to say, a company could tell the Ombudsman I don't want to fall under your jurisdiction, so f**k off?
Apparently. So I'm now wondering a different thing here. If I am living in the UK, can I tell the coppers to f**k off, that I opt out of obeying UK laws? Just a thought.
