Three great movies I recently saw (besides Ironman of course):
- The Children of Huang Shi:- A true to life story (with some adaptations) of George Hogg, a British reporter who saved over 90 children from Japanese cruelty during world war 2. Tragically, he died from a tetanus infection picked up from a cut he sustained while playing basketball. He was 31. To know more of the atrocities committed by the Japanese, read up on the rape of Nanjing on Google.
- Lagaan:- despite this being an old movie, it remains one of my all time favourites. For those who have not yet seen this, it is well worth the time to do so. And again, for those of you who are shallow enough to see this movie as being about a cricket match, please... don't watch it because you've already strained your brain.
- The Lives of Others:- a foreign language film, done in German. Recommended by my friend George, this movie is a look at the Nazi machine in action during WW 2.
