The excellent AVG anti-virus is now upgraded. With effect from some time later this month (May), Grisoft is withdrawing support for the version 7.5 and instead is offering version 8. Yes, there is still a free version, but it tops up at 45 MB. Slower computer (less than 2 GHz and 1 GB RAM) systems may suffer.
Grisoft also has a popup that tells you to upgrade to the paid version 8, and getting through the maze that has become their website was annoying. However I found a direct link to AVG free version.

Be warned; at 45 MB, this is going to take those without broadband a hell of a long time to download. Even with broadband, download is slow due to the traffic on Grisoft's servers.
