How's that again?

Please permit me to ask the Minister of Education the purpose of some units which fall under her Ministry. One such unit is the International Cooperation Initiatives Unit. Officers of this unit spend a lot of time visiting various countries to attend senseless meetings and conferences etc. which by no means contribute to the education of our children. Officers spend days and sometimes weeks visiting countries, enjoying and relaxing in luxurious hotels. At whose expense?

One afternoon I had an opportunity to visit this unit to enquire about its function and the Director refused to answer any of my questions. Where is the transparency in its operations?

Whilst my taxpaying dollars may appear to be little in your calculations, I do feel that you need to investigate whether this unit and many others in your Ministry are worth maintaining.
