Visiting an old favourite

Today, I started reading an old classic novel, Lorna Doone by RD Blackmore.

The link leads you to a free download, which can be opened and read with Microsoft Reader, a free program.

I recently came across various websites that have hundreds of free books, in e-book format. From books on finance and economics, to IT and philosophy, fiction and non-fiction, these books are freely available for download and free reading.

Any Google search will provide lots of free reading material.

I am also reading Oliver Wendell Holmes' The Common Law.

One is that of supposing, because an idea seems very familiar and natural to us, that it has always been so. Many things which we take for granted have had to be laboriously fought out or thought out in past times.
