The two killings pushed the toll to 74 for the year.
At the same stage last year, the murder toll was 51.
So now we have 23 more murders this year for the same period than last year. But we also had martin Joseph and James ‘Jimmy Swaggart’ Philbert on national TV saying that there is no way the murder rate will be as high this year.
The situation seems hopeless. Maybe it is better to declare a limited state of emergency and save some lives.
