At 89 pence each, these were found in a little shop about 10 minutes away from where I live. These are not the same ‘fat’ bottles I remember so maybe a resident Trini could tell me if these are the bottles being used presently.
The storekeeper’s wife recognised my accent and asked me if I wanted Chief seasonings and curry… seems there is some real Trinidadian stuff on sale there, including breadfruit and all kinda ‘blue food’.
I even saw Supligen and Nutriment, saltfish, ackee etc. Well if I could find saijan here I suppose I ought not to be surprised. Now, I just need dasheen leaves and Golden Ray… not the wrestler, the butter.
