This comedy series was once a favourite among Trinidadians of my age group or older. British comedies were a fresh breath of air after all of the American sitcoms force fed to us.
By the way, Trinidadians can dispel with the rumour that Gordon Kaye (René Artois of ‘Allo ‘Allo) was killed by lightening. He was injured in a storm when a piece of wood flew through his car’s windshield into his forehead but he had surgery successfully and was able to do a reunion movie after.
