Todays Express carries an article of a media briefing by Maurice Piggott of TTPS. In his statement Piggie says "Because we have not met the desired effect should not be used as a yard stick".
Hmmm, what is the yardstick to measure incompetence? Methinks that if they have not met desired effects, then it is incompetence. People are not feeling any safer from a lack of results, they want to see and know that crime can be arrested, curtailed or stopped.
The only yard stick people are concerned with is that the police become more proactive in successfully closing off cases, not spending lavish thousands staking out bushes at dams, and digging pig pens.
Ah well... another forum for the very short yardstick of intelligence.
