Of Writers and Men

James Fenimore Cooper wrote such 'classics' as Deerslayer, The Last of the Mohicans, The Pathfinder. Was he a good writer? Not according to Mark Twain. Yes, the same Mark Twain of Tom Sawyer fame.

Here is Twain's critique of Cooper's work, and it is an enlightening read. It's pretty short, so you can definitely complete the read in a few minutes.

Here are free eBooks of Cooper's. If you have the time and zeal to read, would you agree with Twain?

The eBook link also gives you access to other free classics. Help yourself.

As for me, I am busy reading.
