Singular or Plural?
  • None is attractive to me and none are attracted to me.
  • Neither is attractive to me but either are willing.
  • The majority of English speakers is guilty of saying the majority of English speakers are guilty.
  • The public is aware that the public thinks it are not getting English right.
  • The first person, the second person and the third person agrees that the subject and verb are subject to change.
  • The English faculty is excellent and in possession of all their faculties.
  • The audience is bored and as a result they are restless.
  • The company is confident that the company are right.
  • Government is concerned that the government were put in a difficult position.
