Do you remember Sesame Street, and Ernie singing "Sometimes I imagine..." or John Lennon's 'Imagine all the people, Living life in peace...' ?
I imagined... oh how I imagined good things.
But now, my mind is overwhelmed. Now it's a different type of imagining going on.
Imagine a woman raped in a cane field, 2:30 pm, and 7 hours after, half dead from the loss of blood and mental anguish, she got rescued... only to spend several weeks in ICU. Imagine her thoughts having to live life with that, and the added whispering behind her back...
Imagine a woman, losing a son and a father the same day, to a young, drunk and careless driver. Imagine sitting with a broken arm, dislocated hip, bruised ribs and swollen face at that funeral as the coffins are lowered...
Imagine infant powdered milk is so expensive, supermarkets are locking it up to prevent theft. Imagine a mother or father having to 'tief' milk for a child because they cannot afford it...
Imagine prisoners refusing to attend court because the transport van is not airconditioned. Imagine my car not airconditioned but I have to drive from south to PoS everyday...
Imagine a father calling police to come hold his son, an escaped convicted felon, and the police couldn't turn up for more than half hour. Imagine a man actually doing the right thing but not getting support from the dunceys...
Imagine these things, and then... imagine what you can do to make it better.
