I have decided to name my PC (my desktop) Mystique. Just when I think I know her pretty well, she flips me a puzzle.
This morning, on a whim, I decided to make a few changes to her innards. So I added another 1 Gb of DDR memory (on top of another Gb that was there), and a new nVidia GeForce (Inno 3d) graphics card. Since I already have 500 MB hard drive space, I think that's okay for now... no need to tamper with a full bodied lady, eh?
Mystique runs on an old AMD Athlon processor (somehow, I never could get the same performance out of Intel processors, even after 10 years of messing about with computers). My processor is about 2800 MHz, and with a bus speed of 400 MHz, Mystique's singing like a happy diva.
So where's the puzzle you ask? Well, it's obvious. She didn't perform this well until I petted her a bit. So why the hell do ladies need so much pampering???
