San Fernando - Over 100 years ago

During one of my nocturnal excursions into the Internet, no doubt triggered by my curiousity and insomnia, I came across this photo of High Street San Fernando, allegedly taken in the 1890's.

I'm not sure how genuine this is, but to me it looks real. Since I am no longer in Trinidad, I wonder if one of my readers is intrepid enough to email me a photo of what High Street looks like now.

If I'm not mistaken, that little track on the right evolved into Penitence Street, otherwise the curvature of the road is all wrong to fit any other part of the street. If you can see the horse in the photo, it seems to be standing where Chacon Street developed.

A rare glimpse of San Fernando Hill, pre-quarrying days also. The photo below has been retouched to clarify some bits.
