Microsoft Rollover

Flexing their mighty muscles once again, the folks at Microsoft have now set their sights on targeting Antonis Kaladis and his crew over at Neowin.net.

For those of you not in the know, Antonis Kaladis is the brain behind the excellent Autopatcher program, which is a self contained installation program that has all the Windows (2000, XP, 2003 Server) updates, both 32 bit and 64 bit versions.

It can be contained in one CD and is also excellent for rolling out over a network to update all computers. It also contains some excellent additions, like the .net framework (1, 2 and 3), Flash, Shockwave etc., and also some great tweaks.

Microsoft seems to have objected to this project after an entire 4 years, a somewhat baffling approach if you ask me. The reason at this point is unclear, but like a lot of people, I am awaiting further developments.
