I'm disappointed. This morning, I opened up all the newspapers from Trinidad in my browser, and realised that there is nothing new, no fantastic scandal, not a single topical issue that hasn't been aired before. Hmm, are Trinis losing their penchant for corruption and bacchanal?
The UNC is still thrashing out leadership issues, the small groups try to align with them as if Panday was Jesus, Mohammed and Buddha rolled into one. News flash! Their demise has been confirmed. Slicing the pie is not at all easy as Kirk Meighoo found out.
Valley is out, despite grousing over it; Hinds is left behind, Hart and Achong get pong... the list of replaceable top-notch PNM who thought they were irreplaceable and found out how wrong they were is by no means a short one.
Rowley lost his briefcase, so later on I expect the UNC to release some more information on him. Not in the near future though, they have to wait till the connection is dim and distant. Expect some more on Landate and other PNM corruption affairs.
