Money runneth like dishwater

The PNM government has been throwing money out of the country's coffers like so much used dishwater. From unnecessary tsunami shelters and mythical basketball leagues to state-run universities without accountability, Trinidad and Tobago's petro-dollars have been flushed out of our control and into the fat bank accounts of PNM cronies.

The latest in a long line of dubious transactions has revealed that Prof Kenny Julien of University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) has a "US$4.2 million bank account in the Guernsey Island managed exclusively by the Trust Fund, HSBC International. It is understood that the Guernsey account generates over US$200,000 a year in interest payments."

Now when you think of the $110 millions that Monteil has snuck out the back door, with the blessings of the PNM regime, and see that it's only the 'small man' who suffers, one wonders at the idiots who will still go out and 'vote PNM till I dead' (to quote a phrase).
