A woman like I described would take all the licks, all the abuse, all the cuss, and if knocked down would rise and philosophise that: 'If meh man ent love me, he woulda never do it. Is love have him so'.
Well, Kamla too have the same view after getting screwed over.

So after all the political victimisation she went through she still insist is true love. One comment in the Express is:
Kamla - you are one of the reasons women in this society are kept as second class citizens. Your surrender to Panday and Jack after being abused and misused by them is quite pathetic. Your actions speak that it is ok to redicule women, and they will come back to you. You have given all men in the UNC free reign to do anything to you, knowing you will stay in the party. You are a living example of someone with 'Battered Wife Syndrome'. I am so very dissapointed with you.
Clearly, I am not the only one seeing the stupidity and yes, selfishness of her actions in cozying up to the elite of the UNC.
When will she open her eyes and see that Panday sees her as just another woman who cannot and should not take control? She is allowing Panday to control her and keep her down. I live in the Middle East and I see every day how both Indian and Arabic men treat women. These women do not have any control over their life. She needs to start loving herself and stop loving the UNC. She will never rise above what she has now until she takes it.
