Random Thought

Once again, I had one of those random thoughts that seem to occur more often of late.

I've been following up on the trial of PC Sunil Tota-Maharaj. For those not in the know, Tota-Maharaj is the son of former senator Vimala Tota-Maharaj, and the grandson of Sat Maharaj, he of the Maha Sabha fame.

Sunil has been charged with shooting 19 years old Mervyn Caton Jr during the Borough Day celebrations in Point Fortin on May 7, 2005. Caton was shot in the head, at close range, with a Uzi sub-machine gun during an argument in a bar, with Tota-Maharaj.

My random thought is that Sat sure is silent on this issue, surprising as he usually spouts off on everything under the sun. Secondly, how much of Maha Sabha's finances is being used to foot this legal bill?

Just a random thought....
